“ Had dinner at Top Shelf in Peoria last night. My wife and I have enjoyed Top Shelf many times. Usually sit in the bar area with games on the TV's. Last night was not too busy when we arrived and we sat in a booth closest to the bar. We don't mind the patrons who get a bit loud during NFL playoffs; seems to be a natural reaction to the environment. No Margaritas this time (New Year's Resolution) just burritos, bean's, and Mexican rice. Our server was friendly and food came out hot and timely. My experience here is the kitchen can be overwhelmed by too many orders at one time. Last night they were on top of it and the food was very good (hot plates really were hot). The red sauce with my chili burro was spiced well. We asked to split the rice and our nice server gave us a separate plate with what seemed a double order. However, the Mexican rice was a bit bland (only take away). Really enjoy Top Shelf and will definitely return. ”

Food is always delicious I often get the chills relleno combo #4. The beens are really good too. Price is average for a seating restaurant. ”
“ I don't understand all the negative reviews. Top Shelf in Peoria was fun for us. The facility is massive, and it was busy on a Thurday evening. Everyone was having a good time. The bartender was friendly and attentive even though she was super busy. This is a simple Mexican restaurant making margaritas. The bartending is basic, and the cocktail pours were measured. The prices are very low to match. The food is very good, in my opinion. It's not trendy or imaginative, but it's hearty and made with quality ingredients. We enjoy the green chile with pork and beef. Sometimes you want some warm Mexican food and a drink. This is it. ”
